2008-04-18 14:11:24, Mike: if it's Invisia Software's netspy it's not a big problem. I am the creator of this software and did so while in High School as part of a company I created..my company hasn't existed for probably 4 years. So no, I'm not trying to sell anybody anything as you can't even download or purchase the software anymore.
Let me explain why this software is not as bad as you think. All this program was, was a program to monitor where your kids (or spouse perhaps) was going on the internet. You loaded it up, it sat in the background and collected a list of sites in Internet Explorer that were visited. THEN, with a certain keyboard shortcut, you could bring up a control panel and input a password to see what sites had been visited.
None of the information was ever sent out to anywhere, it was just collected locally on your machine.
There might be other programs out there called NetSpy, but Invisia Software Netspy was not damaging, unless you don't want your parents/spouse to see where you're going online.
Thank you |
