Kill the following processes ewayclient.exe, ewayserver.exe, remind_xp.exe, drwatsom.exe, wscan.exe | Unregister the following DLLs and reboot ewkb.dll.

Hi to the man who said he bought 2 new Gateway computers and this trojan was on there? That very well COULD BE. I purchased a new computer at Circuit City and they said the games loaded on the computers are filled with spyware and other things and it's best to delete them and never even open the free games. That rule is applied for all new computers. It's amazing that they put that stuff on them and then sell them to us!!!

Remind_XP.exe is a process belonging to the SoftThinks CD Creator CD/DVD Writer amd serves as a reminder to register for full product support. This is a non-essential process. Disabling or enabling this is down to user preference. Some malware camouflage themselves as Remind_XP.exe, particularly if they are located in c:\windows or c:\windows\system32 folder. I just did a clean install on my Compaq and I haven't downloaded anything but now I have this trojan. A way to remove it for people who cannot afford $29.95 would be nice. This is B.S. I do go on the web but i do not browse all i do is go on B.net.... Ive had to do a total system restore for my third time yesterday (Takes a frigin Month to recover from that with the stuff i have on my PC) well anyways thanks for the Removal thing my computer has never detected it before now =/. |
